Foundation Programme Student Support

OUR WRAPAROUND PROVISION

For students in Foundation Programme the academic day starts at 8.30 and ends at 3.30pm. Early morning club begins at 8.00 and is available at no extra charge to all students from Foundation Programme to Foundation Year.

Activities through the winter months are offered inside in our Common Room, including puzzles, board games, construction activities and crafts; play during the summer months is mostly based outside, making full use of our outside spaces and equipment.

Supervision and Hobbies run from 3.30pm through to 4.15pm. During this time, the students can choose either to play, read or use construction activities in lecture theatres, and this is staffed by lecturers and teaching assistants from their Year 2.

students are served sandwiches, pasta pots or savoury muffins for an additional charge.

Those in Foundation Entry to Foundation Year can take up a hobby. Each term a list of new hobbies is sent home and students can choose which they attend for the term. The range on offer will change regularly throughout the year. Most of these are free of charge, however for a few specialist classes, there is a small additional charge.


TT Club runs from 4.30pm to 6pm each day.
